Dessert   -   Ethel's Cheesecake   by Lee Gibson

Description I'm privileged to come from a family of great cooks. My grandmother's cheesecake is pretty much my favourite anywhere on Earth. It's also bog-simple to make. Don't tell anybody. : )
Ingredients
  • 24 oz Cream Cheese
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3/4 C Sugar
  • 1 t Vanilla
  • 1 box Zwieback
  • 1 pint Sour Cream
  • 1/2 C Sugar
Directions Preheat oven to 350 deg.

Cream the cheese, add sugar and eggs (one at a time). Add vanilla.

Line greased springform pan with crushed Zwieback crumbs. Pour cream cheese mixture. Bake for 30 minutes.

Whip sour cream with 1/2c sugar. Add to cooked cream cheese mixture. Return to oven for 10 minutes.

Refrigerate 2 hrs before serving.
