Side Dishes - Sausage Roll

||A simple twist on the breakfast sausage fare. Prepare the night before and serve with your favorite breakfast items, or serve alone!

- 1 Pound Bulk Pork Sausage
- 1 (3-ounce) Package Cream Cheese softened
- 1 can Crescent Dinner Rolls
||The night before serving, brown sausage in a skillet breaking it up as it browns. Add seasonings as desired (rubbed sage, savory, freshly ground black pepper, etc.). Drain well. Mix cream cheese into sausage and stir well. Form sausage into a 10-inch roll. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Unroll the rolls side by side, overlap edges slightly, and press all seams together so that you have a rectangular pastry. Place sausage roll in center of pastry, fold over and press seams together. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Slice and serve.
